Visit from old friends!

Our good friends from TN came for a long overdue visit this weekend!!!

We met Hallie & her son Grant at lunchtime on Friday, at McDonald's. The boys picked up where they left off (though it's been 9+ months since we've seen them). Grant & Nate were best friends in TN (as were Hallie & I) and it was so nice to see old friends and catch up.

After lunch & playtime at McDonald's, we HAD to go to Krispy Kreme for National Free Donut Day!!! Best hot & now donuts ever.

And we even made Krispy Kreme's Facebook page! (Probably because I harassed the photographer and told him our friends had come from TN just.for.a.donut. Ha!)

 We let the kids skip their nap Friday afternoon and it was filled with lots of running around, giggles, toys everywhere, superheros, forts, crafts, and manicures :)

 The boys did great having a sleepover - we pulled out the mattress from Nate's trundle bed....

 ....so the hot mommas decided to have a night out on the town!! (Thanks Greg for babysitting!)

 Saturday, we went to a local playground & Splash Pad but it was a bit crowded due to a Big Brothers/Big Sisters event we didn't know about. Regardless, the kids had fun and got out some excess energy :)

Yes my kid is the only one with goggles on at the Splash Pad :)

 

Thank you Hallie & Grant for making the trip to come see us! We love you and look forward to our next visit! :)
