Another One Bites the Dust

Nate lost his 4th tooth last night!!!

As always, it was traumatic :( I thought it'd get easier by now.....but, nope! Poor Greg is the one that has to deal with this every time: Nate says his tooth is ready and he wants Greg to pull it. But then as soon as Greg starts to, Nate flips out & starts crying, etc. He calms down, and they do the same routine about 10 more times.

Finally, after one hard yank last night, it was out!!!!

**Truth be told, I think I was the reason Nate was so stressed out about having this tooth come out. We have family pictures today, and about 2 weeks ago I made the comment that I hoped his tooth would come out by then because he would look super cute. Oops! My boy, such a people pleaser :)

Griffin Farms

For the second year, we went to Griffin Farms and were delighted to find they added a few new things! Going to a pumpkin patch in TN was such a fun tradition for our family, and I'm so glad we've found a place in AL that compares!

Tire Tower

It was a super fast slide so Abby convinced Daddy to go with her!
Funny Faces

 Petting Zoo

Was SHOCKED Nate wanted to do this! :)

Abby's favorites

Nastiest pig on Earth
 Corn Maze

 Corn Crib

Stuffing corn into her pants' legs!?
More Sliding, Bouncing, Swinging, and Haystack Fun
Hard landing in the wet sand. So fun!

 Pumpkin Patch
After a full morning & picnic lunch, we loaded up on the hayride and rode out to the pumpkin patch to pick our own pumpkins. This is the first place I've ever been to where you actually get to pick your own pumpkins off the vine! As you can see, there are two family members that are oh.so.serious about finding the perfect pumpkin....

And then there's this one..... :)

Love our little family & Fall traditions!

Nate's First Field Trip!!

I tagged along on Nate's first field trip to the Barnyard! We have been there many times before, but he was suuuuuper excited to be there with his class!!

Surprisingly, there were 15 parents that volunteered to chaperone for both 1st grade classes. So, that's about 2 kids per parent :) Needless to say, we doubled up into a friend's car and headed to the Barnyard!

Buddies Andrew & Chandler
It was forecasted to be 67 and sunny this day, but that was way wrong! All the kids started complaining of being cold 2.2 seconds after we got there. I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty chilly too!!
Andrew keeping Nate warm, ha!

Mrs. Strickland's class

Abby is studying the letter "P" at school this week, so I took this picture for her. So pretty!!
First up, feed the ducks and take a boat ride....

OMG a worker caught a catfish and I almost gagged looking at it! SO GROSS!!
Then it was feeding time for the barn animals....Nate got to feed goats, pigs, calf, sheep, a llama, and a pony.....

I was so proud of Nate when it came time to hold some of these animals. (Two years ago, during Abby's party, he would barely even pet a baby chick with one finger.) But he got on in there this time and held a bunny & chick!!! The animal in the yellow bucket was a RAT!! Not sure why people think these are cute. Nate held onto the bucket but never touched the rat (don't blame him!) It was crazy though....some of the other kids picked up the rat and let it crawl all over their shoulders/back.
Then it was time to wash hands (!!), take a pony ride, and play on the playground.

Finally, it was our turn to take a hayride up to the pumpkin patch. So fun!!

We rode back to the Barnyard, had lunch with the other class, and then had a little more playtime before heading back to school.
The kids came back muddy & happy, and so did I! :) I feel so blessed to be able to spend days like this with Nate.....he has been looking forward to having a field trip with his class for 2 years, and I was so happy to experience that with him!!
