The Big Reveal

Our swing set is finally done!!!

 

It's been quite the process.....we had a landscaper prep the area & fix some drainage issues; we hired a contractor to assemble the swing set & log frame; we had a company deliver a boatload of mulch, and then there were lots of delays from the rainy weather on top of everything. Needless to say, it's been a long 3 weeks!

 

But it was worth it, and the kids have been SO patient while they watched their swing set come together, little by little. Every (sunny) day after school, they'd run out to "see what Mr. James did" and ask him how much longer it would take :) Bless Mr. James heart, he was so good with the kids throughout this whole process.

 So, we started out with 3 swings - the glider swing and then the two regular swings....

...But then I thought it'd be fun for the kids (especially Nate & our neighbor Jack), if we had a trapeze bar with rings. So we switched out one of the swings for now, but can easily put it back. So far, Nate loves the trapeze and Abby doesn't care. All she wants to do is swing and sing "Let it Go" for hours on end :)

 We have already spent countless hours in the afternoon & evenings out there. The kids love digging in the mulch and making "mulch-castles" as well. I hope the kids enjoy making memories on this thing for years to come! (They better, because it's cemented into the ground!! :)
