I flew to Charlotte, NC this past weekend to help host a baby shower for my little sis, Becky!!!!
It was a quick trip - less than 24 hours - but we had a lot of fun!! Bec is the coolest pregnant lady EVER and let us basically turn her baby shower into a Cinco de Mayo party, complete with lots of mexican food, decor, beer, and a margarita machine! :)
I don't have a ton of pictures right now....and I won't name names.... but, I'm waiting on them from two people who grew up in NC on Ravenhill Court with me. Just sayin'
(So check back soon and I hope to post some more!)
Before the shower started, I got to hang out & catch up with Bec. I hadn't seen her since Christmas. AND I got to feel little Anderson kick!!!!!! I am so ready to meet him in July and watch my little sis become an amazing mommy!!
But, back to the shower...
Becky's BFF, Kelly, hosted the shower/party at her house in Charlotte, and she did an AMAZING job with all the little touches. Cupcakes, hot sauce, mustaches, sombreros, cornhole, pinatas....
One of my college roommates Joy (whom I affectionately call Blondie), lives just around the corner from Kelly's house! So she and her fiance got to swing by for a few drinks, and I got to hear all about their plans for their wedding in March 2013! (Which sounds like it's going to be a disaster by the way. Just kidding, I could write anything about Joy and it won't matter because she always forgets to read my blog. Ha! Love you, Blondie!!!)
It's a shame I didn't get a better picture on my camera of the guest of honor in all her pregnant glory. But seriously people, she just DOES NOT look 7 months pregnant! Her "belly" is super long/tall, which makes sense because so is she! But still, if you stare real hard here, you can see a small glimpse of her cute belly in that maternity shirt! (And for the record, her pinata had airplane bottles inside. Hilarious! And really mean, Kelly!!)
The shower/party started winding down around 11 pm (see? I told you she was a cool preggo!) and I realized Bec had not yet opened her gifts. (Which is fine by her because she hates everyone's attention being on her.) Being the good/bossy big sister that I am, I made her open them all so: 1). I could see them and 2). I could write them all down. She got some great stuff, even though some of it was a little too yellow & black for my taste. (Mike - I promise to buy Anderson some more UNC gear soon!)
To round out the weekend, we met my parents at a cute place for brunch on Sunday. We celebrated Mother's Day a week early since we were all together!
(Like I said, more pictures to come soon.)
Greg held down the fort at home while I was gone. And as usual, the kids had a blast and were super well-behaved. Of course! :) They went to the grocery store, played at the park & ran through the fountains (in their clothes!), had sno-cones BEFORE dinner, and had a movie date in bed with Daddy. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful partner for a husband!!

OH HOW FUN! Becky looks AMAZING! Super cute pic of you too! Love that pink on you :)
