School Program

Though Nate still has one week of school left (!), he had his end-of-year program on Friday. He had been telling us for months about all of the EIGHT songs they were working on. I thought he was exaggerating, but oh no...they actually sang 9 songs!!! All the kids did a great job - it was both 4 year old classes - and we were so proud of our sweet boy for learning so many songs and performing so well.

Here is my favorite song they did, called "Who Let the Letters Out." The clip is a bit long - they go through the whole alphabet - but all the sounds they make are hilarious!

And click here for a really sweet song, "Jesus Loves Me." They learned the sign language as well. Love.

At the end of the program, all the kids got presented a certificate, and then were asked by their teacher what they wanted to be when they grew up. Most answers included teacher, doctor, cheerleader, etc....with an occassional "spy" or "farmer" thrown in. Nate's answer of "power ranger" got a laugh from the audience. Then we moved into the Parish Hall for one last song (the TENTH song, and a silly one they couldn't sing in church), which Nate had told us about ahead of time. He said the "bottoms up" part made him shy and he didn't want to do it. And as you can see, it was a little confusing at the beginning of the song....Nate and some of the other kids on the end didn't know it had started. Ha! Click here to hear Nate sing "Tooty Tot."

We had yummy snacks, grabbed a few pictures with his amazing teacher, Miss Thompson, and his BFF Noah, and then headed to Abby's gymnastics class at 10. He thought it was such a treat to be able to leave school early and play "hooky!"

We are so grateful for Nate's wonderful teachers, and proud of our boy and all he has learned this year at Holy Spirit!
