The kids were doing play-doh and Nate made me some “pancakes”....
Me: Mmmmm, these are delicious. You make the best pancakes!
N: Ever?
Me: Ever ever.
N: Even better than God????

On the way to school...
N: Mommy, you know, I have a LOT of best friends.
Me: Well, that’s great sweetie! Who are they?
N: Noah, Austin, Sami, Sadie, and...what’s his name?
Me: Who?
N: My other best friend? That boy in the other class.
Me: Evan?
N: Yeah, Evan. That one. He’s really my best friend.
(Sure sounds like it; you didn’t even remember his name, ha!)
