The best moment of the day happened as soon as we got down to the beach this morning. Greg & I were busy "setting up camp," and the kids grabbed each other's hands and headed down to the tide pools. (Which surprised us b/c Abby has been a little weary walking in the tide pools or ocean without either me or Greg holding her hand.) Then, they passed through the tide pools, into the ocean, and began jumping waves. All the while, still holding hands. The amount of trust Abby put in Nate amazes me! I loved watching them and took this little video.
We had such a great water day....making drip castles, playing on the boogie board, trying to catch minnows, jumping waves, flying kites, and having water gun fights. This was the first day it was not windy/chilly, and we took full advantage of it!!
Looking forward to tomorrow (our last day, sad!) b/c two of my best friends from college will be here with their kiddos!!! Actually, one is here tonight with her baby boy and we're having a sleepover. Abby can't get enough of sweet Baby Drew.
The week has gone by fast! So glad the kids like the ocean :)
