Abby has been wiggling a bottom tooth for months, and finally last Wednesday, it came out!
She was having a sick day at home with Daddy - they both had the flu - while I was a client's house organizing a closet. Around lunchtime, I got a text with this picture:
Greg said she finally grew tired of wiggling it, and just asked him to pull it out. No tears, no drama, nothing. I love this no-nonsense, brave girl!!!
She posed for another picture once I got home:
Even though this was tooth #2, she was still very excited to put the tooth under her pillow and get some cash in return from the Tooth Fairy :)
(Sidenote: Since I know Abby won't read this until she's an adult.....Greg said when he was sneaking in her room to be the Tooth Fairy, Abby woke up and saw him! Her floorboards are suuuuper creaky, so I guess that's how she heard him. He had to pretend to just be checking on her, and then got in bed & snuggled her till she fell asleep. Ha!)
I just want to reiterate that Abby is indeed the champ at losing teeth. She doesn't shed a tear and looks at me with a "was-that-supposed-to-hurt" look in her eyes. More different from her brother she could not be.
ReplyDeleteShe has always had a high tolerance for pain. Door crashes, skinned knees, etc, just takes it in stride. Love it! Save the drama for more important things!
