Nanny & Poppy arrived last Thursday afternoon, with a car full of goodies as usual! Abby always wants to see her new wardrobe first....
Nanny had just gotten back from a 10 day Alaskan cruise, and for some reason, thought these duck calling whistles would be a fun gift for the kids. Worst.gift.ever.
They are soooooooo loud!
Both kids were pretty excited to add to their Pokémon collection, thanks to Poppy.
Nate went outside to play with friends after dinner but Abby wanted to stay & sort Pokémon with Poppy :)
Friday was a busy day at school.....Abby had her end-of-year program, and then Nate had his Character Matters play (more on that later). We checked Abby out of school early and went out to eat for lunch, with Greg too. Had some beautiful weather & yummy food at Glory Bound Gyro Co.
Friday after school was more Pokémon sorting & trading, riding bikes, games, coloring, and building forts.
Saturday, we wanted to go to a park but it was rainy & gross :(
Plan B was laser bumper bowling!

Abby's favorite part of the game was sitting atop her perch & cheering everyone on. She is destined to be a UA cheerleader!!
Celebrating one of Poppy's many strikes
Nanny was having a rough time bowling, so Abby felt the need to cheer up with a hug :)
The kids asked to play in the arcade after bowling, but it was pretty lame other than Air Hockey. Abby spent her dollar on junk from the candy machines.
Nate got this out of the machines at the bowling alley
Sunday morning before church, I spotted these two peas in a pod, looking at the ads. Hilarious!

Finally, we had some sunny weather on Sunday and headed to the pool right when it opened at 12. And we just happened to see 3 of Nate's buddies from school there. So fun!

Abby's fave - the lazy river :)
No words.
A new addition to our pool this year is the sno-cone machine! Abby wanted Poppy to come help her get hers, and look what I spotted across the pool. All Hail Queen Abby!
Unlimited syrup. #kidsdream #mynightmare
After a long afternoon at the pool, we came home to rest up and I spotted these two coloring a mosaic on the back patio.
For dinner that night, we grilled out BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, and stuffed peppers. Delish! Greg had a plate of tomatoes ready to go, but forgot to serve them at dinner. So, these two had them for dessert! Crazies.
All in all, it was a great visit with Nanny & Poppy and we are already looking forward to seeing them at the beach in July!
We had a great time as always. The weather cooperated and we got to be outside. I love being with all of you and felt especially blessed to be there for their end of year programs. What a delight. Love you all! Can't wait for more special times at the beach.
