Last Saturday, Abby's gymnastics class had their "Circus," which is comparable to an end-of-year program or recital.
Abby did such a great job on each apparatus. First up, the beam. Luckily, Abby's class - the Advanced Preschoolers - didn't have to completely memorize their routines. So, their awesome coach (Ms. Bonnie) was able to be alongside them & remind them what to do.

Next up, the vault. This was thrilling....she ran down & did a straight jump :)

(Her buddy Indya is the reason we picked this gymnastics class. These two girls weren't in the same class at school this year, so this was a way they could still see each other every week!)
Then, her class moved onto the bars. She fell off one time, but didn't seem phased by it luckily. The "dismount" is my fave; you are expecting something huge and then.... Well, just watch the video :) Click here to watch her bars routine.
And then click here to watch the group floor routine.
Nate insisted on taking a "photo booth" shot of us with Abby. So that's why it's a little extra fuzzy :)
So proud of my girl and how far she's come this year! Her arm strength and endurance has improved so much. We are going to take a break from gymnastics this summer, but then plan to start up again in August. According to Abby, since she wants to be a cheerleader one day, she has "got to be really really good at gymnastics!"

Oh my gosh - these are great! Thank you for the taking the videos! Tell A that Aunt L says she's well on her way to being a smart cheerleader :)
ReplyDeleteI love the videos! She has come a long way since she started gymnastics. Maybe there will be a cheerleader in the family yet?
