Spring Fling

Friday night, Nate's school held their annual "Spring Fling" event, sponsored by the PTO. The football field was filled with bouncy castles, football throws, climbing walls, music, and concessions. It was fun seeing Nate play with all his "school" friends outside of school. He was running around like a wild man, barefoot, from bouncy to bouncy. And not to be outdone, little Miss Priss was not far behind.

The bouncy castle with the slide was being overrun with "big boys," but Nate decided to brave it anyways.

Abby was not far behind. Look how small she looks up there! I knew our little fearless one could conquer it though.

There she goes! I love our little girl's spunkiness & fearlessness! She was hangin' with the big kids, no problem.

Future quarterback, watch out! (Please read the sarcasm in that statement. His "form" is closer to that of a ballerina than a football player. All I can say is: bless.his.heart) :)

After some bouncy fun & games on the football field, we headed to the concession stand for a healthy dinner of hot dogs, chips, pizza, water, and sno-cones. This was Nate's first sno-cone and he was EXCITED! Had been looking forward to it all day actually. And apparently, Abby wanted a bite as well. Here she is, slowly creeping.....

"Do I HAVE to share with her?????!"

"Ok fine, but just ONE bite!!"

Then we moved inside to the high school gym for some "younger" aged games. There was a gym full of games, prizes, bouncy castles, and treats, and yet Abby decides all she wants to do is play on the bleachers. Typical.

Nate had been looking forward to playing the "cake walk" and managed to win! He picked out....of all things....a single brownie. (That is NOT my son.... I would have picked out the huge cake or box of cookies!)

The kids tried their hand at a few more games, and then Greg took them home around 8 pm. I stayed another hour or so and helped to run the "duck pond" booth. (Aka: the lamest game ever.)

It was a fun family night, and we were happy to be able to support N's school at the same time!
