Back on April 28th, Nate moved up in rank at his Scouts ceremony. It was called the Blue & Gold Banquet, and was held at a pavilion at Lake Lurleen.
The kids had fun running around & playing games before dinner started.
"Dinner" consisted of hot dogs, chili, and cheeseballs. (Note to self: help out with the planning of this banquet next year! :)
Then each den performed a skit/song and received awards. Nate's den was last, because they are the oldest. He received 2 pins, a Pack 7 hat, and a patch for his new Webelos II rank.
The den leader painted a blue W on the boys' foreheads, to symbolize their new Webelos II rank. (It looks like he has blue hoop earrings on too, thanks to the graphic on Greg's shirt!)
The proud Webelos II pack (minus one member, Jake) and their dads:
Jeffrey, Mason, JJ and Nate
The Webelos II with their fearless (and patient!) den leader, Greta
We had a lot of extended family in town for Abby's First Communion (more on that later), so they got to come the banquet with us!
Nate had both sets of grandparents there, plus Greg's aunt & uncle from Memphis. Quite a fan club!
So happy for my little Webelo, and proud of him for trying something new this year! One more year until he becomes a Boy Scout!
