Two nights before Halloween, Greg & the kids carved pumpkins. This is Greg's favorite day of the year, because 1) he loves to carve and 2) he makes "nuts and bolts," one of our family's favorite snacks!!
The kids came up with their own designs, and did *most* of the carving on their own.
They were very happy with their finished products - a scary jack-o-lantern and an emoji pumpkin!
And as usual, Greg did an amazing job carving his pumpkin! It was Nate's turn to have something carved for him, so Greg surprised him with a super detailed Darth Vader!!
And if you need reminding of Greg's past pumpkins.....

Told you, he's super talented!!

The kids had their class parties at 2 pm on Halloween, and Greg got to come for the first time! And since I'm not a room mom for *either* class this year, I got to rotate and attend BOTH parties!

Halloween night, we started trick-or-treating around 5:30 with our usual group of neighbors. It's been growing every year, and it's so fun to walk around with lots of people. Luckily, this year we had amazing weather!!!
Indiana Jones & Lippy Lips (a Shopkins character)
The whole gang we walked around with. Lots of Harry Potter characters in there! Nate was 2 years too early I guess :)
Abby's favorite neighbor, Kate
Nate's favorite neighbor, Evers
Abby's fave part of the night: handing out candy!!
After trick-or-treating around the loop in our neighborhood, which takes about an hour, Abby & I came home. There were a ton of trick-or-treaters, so Greg had doubled back to the house early on. We handed out candy with Daddy, and about an hour later, Nate came home! (We had let him trick-or-treat at the next neighborhood over with a few of his buds. Big step!) Then, it was such a nice night, we all sat outside till about 8:30 pm, handing out candy and eating chili.
Such a fun night!
