To continue on our Christmas Road Trip/World Tour.....
....we left Charlotte on the 28th and headed to Pinehurst, NC for a reunion with my college roommates (named Dixie!) and their families.
 |
| Abby jumped right in & started playing with Drew at Becca's parents' house while we waited for everyone to arrive |
One of my roommates' stepdad offered to take a group picture of all of us (with only one husband missing). It was so fun to finally have all our complete families meet!

| Our attempt at a silly picture! |
Then we walked to a nearby park and let the kids run free while Dixie got to catch up! We had seen each other in October at Joy's wedding, but still, we never run out of things to say...... :) Which is precisely why we had so much fun our senior year at UNC!

| Dixie: Joy, Nat, Klug, me, Becca |
 |
| The Dixie husbands enjoyed catching up too :) |
 |
| Nate (6) and Hadley (5) |
 |
| Abby was being anti-social most of the time at the park |

| My little monkey |

| Hadley & Abby's silly faces |
 |
| Burns (3), Drew (almost 2) and Hadley (5) |
 |
| I don't think there's a sweeter big brother on the planet! |
We strolled to downtown Southern Pines for lunch at the Ice Cream Parlor! Hot dogs, grilled cheese, cheese steaks, salads, and soup....we tried it all! And of course ice cream & milkshakes for dessert.
Our last stop was Klug's parents' house. Nate got some pointers on the Rainbow Loom (thank you, Hadley!) and we got in a few more hours of chit-chat.

| The newest Dixie - Emilia (3 months old) |
I love these ladies so much and it means the world to me that we are able to pick up with each other like no time has passed. Though it's been 12 years since we graduated from UNC (ugh - we are OLD!) I hope for many more years of family gatherings and a lifetime of friendship with this bunch!
