Last Wednesday the kids travelled to Tennessee to spend a few days with Mum Mum, Granddaddy, Aunt Gena, and Aunt Julia. Greg drove them, and stayed two nights to visit with his family....
....AND to go to Pal's and send me this picture to brag!!

They had a busy first day in Johnson City......magic/comedy show at the library, water balloon fun at home, splash pad, riding the go-kart, and painting!
Friday, Greg left to come back to Alabama, and Gena & Julia took the kids to an indoor trampoline/bouncy place. Fun was had by all!
Everyone went to Tupelo Honey for dinner - YUM! - where Abby had ....what else....grits! Then she and Julia did facemasks before bed :)

Saturday, they went to Jonesboro Days, which was a July 4th parade/fair in a neighboring town. The kids had the largest sno-cone ever, and had fun riding the train.
They did yet another craft with Julia - look how great the garden stones turned out!
That evening, Nate went on a 3 mile run with Aunt Gena. For fun! #proudmom
Sunday morning, I talked to the kids on the phone, and all they wanted to tell me was how a squirrel had made the power go out in the house! So, they went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast and Abby had her favorite food yet again - grits.
Later that day, they headed to Wetlands water park with Aunt Gena & Aunt Julia. Another fun day!
They finished off their visit with s'mores in the backyard. A great ending to a great trip!
Greg met his parents on Monday at lunchtime in Chattanooga to grab the kids. Was so happy to see this picture and know that they were on the way home to me!!
Thank you to Mum Mum, Granddaddy, Aunt Gena, and Aunt Julia for a such a good visit. The kids had a great time!

Sounds like fun to me! We enjoyed them so much. We learned more about them each visit. Abby is clever. She ran behind the cars and then threw her water balloons. And Nate can run and I mean run. He ran faster than Aunt Gena easily.
ReplyDeleteAbby looks different without her signature bow (and/or braid) in the fair/parade day pics!! Looking forward to the beach update next :).
