Camp Nanny & Poppy

The kids left the beach with my parents, and were excited to have their annual Camp Nanny & Poppy in NC!

They look *really* sad to leave their parents :)

Nanny had a full week of activities planned, and it started on Sunday with some girl baking and boy running. Then, the new Minions movie!

Monday, Poppy took the kids to one of his favorite places....a garage sale :) Then they headed to Carowinds for the first time!! (This is an amusement park about an hour away. I went there *so much* as a kid, so it was fun that my kids got to go! A lot of it has changed / improved, so I was a little jealous! Not of the upside-down roller coasters though. I am a wimp in my old age!)

The swings....such a classic ride! (And tame enough for Nate :)

The kids FaceTimed me most afternoons, and on the day they got home from Carowinds, they could not talk fast enough!!! Abby loved the bumper cars, the upside-down Pirate ship, and pretty much the whole day. She is fearless :) Nate had a great time even though he doesn't ride much....he said the swings and the haunted house were his faves.

Tuesday, the kids had another first - they went to Old Salem! Nanny had been looking forward to this, because she is all into history :) They toured the Moravian village, did a scavenger hunt, and the kids did NOT want to leave!

....But, the girls had to get to their spa appointment on time! Nanny & Abby had some girl time and got manis/pedis, while Nate & Poppy had some guy time.....Nate got some new/fancy running shoes, and they went to a Pokémon card shop!

Wednesday, Anderson got to join Camp Nanny & Poppy! They picked him up in Charlotte and went to a nearby Children's Museum. They all drove back to Clemmons and spent the night at Nanny & Poppy's house.

Thursday, Nate went on another run with Poppy - this time with his new kicks - and did a great job despite the heat. Everyone went to the pool at Tanglewood, plus the Mall Jump (where both Abby & Anderson did FLIPS!) and then Red Robin for dinner.

Another fun-filled week at Nanny & Poppy's!!
