One of our family's favorite Christmas traditions is going out to breakfast, and then visiting Santa & riding the train at the mall.
We started off our Saturday right.... with beignets, grits, omelets, pancakes, and French toast at our favorite breakfast spot - Another Broken Egg Café. Those beignets are *almost* as good as Café du Monde's!
There was a bit of a line to see Santa, so Mommy got plenty of practice in with her new camera!
They didn't get to talk to Santa long, but they were able to read their letters to him and tell him what 3 things they wanted most. On the top of Abby's list is a make-up set, and apparently, she talked Santa's ear off about it. (Too bad she's not getting one!! #waytooyoung)
Then, it was time to ride the train! Greg & I are in shock that Nate still enjoys this as an 8 year old. We think the main reason he still gets excited about it is because Abby is so excited :) He's the best big brother ever, I tell ya! They waited an extra turn in line so that they could be in the front car, where the bell is. I'm not sure Abby ever got a turn ringing the bell; Nate had a pretty good grip on it!
Waving to Daddy!
They spotted me!
Nate is hogging the bell; Abby's over it & decides to lay down. Ha!
Cutest conductor ever
Mailing their letters to the North Pole; Santa had too many to keep up with :)
Love these two cuties and all the Christmas traditions our family has! We have one more left - driving around with hot chocolate and looking at Christmas lights. However, that one will have to wait because we are headed to Disney in TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!!!

alittle late but still enjoy looking at pics and reading your commentary. what a priceless gift for them to have someday in addition to all the wonderful traditions and pictures.
