More Christmas Activites!

Saturday morning, the kids woke up and found a little extra surprise in their Advent calendar....a little note saying it was time to go see Santa!!

We ate breakfast at our favorite spot, first (Another Broken Egg Café). Nothing like beignets and grits to make your kids' days :)

Then, it was off to the mall to see Santa!! We usually get there right at 10 when they open, so the lines aren't too long.

Of course, they totally reprimand you if you take pictures of Santa, so we are one of the suckers that buys a 5x7 for $17. Total rip-off. It's hard to resist when your kids are this cute though! :)

Here is what the kids asked for from Santa...

Nate:
1. Phoenix Fire Temple (lego set)
2. Sir Fanger's Ice Fortress (lego set)
3. Electric scooter

Abby:
1. Frozen dolls
2. My Little Ponys
3. Beach House (lego set)

After showing their letters to Santa, he insisted we put them
in the mailbox so they go straight to the North Pole!
Then, it was time to hit up the train!! The kids love this every year, and even waited extra long in line so that they could have the front car with the BELL. Oh, that bell. I think Abby rung it 100x in their short 4 minute ride. Another (random) boy rode in the front car with N&A, and I'm not sure he even got a turn ringing the bell, haha!

When we got home, it was time to decorate a gingerbread house! After about 10 minutes of cussing hard work, I got the icing on and it was time for my two elves to decorate. They each got to do 3 sides.
