However, Greg was a good sport when it came to the kids and got up early to have a special V-day breakfast with us. It meant the world to the kids, and me! We grubbed on cinnamon rolls, eggs, and pineapple, as the kids opened their goodies. They each got a lot of little treasures, candy, and then one toy. Nate got an Ironman Mask and Abby got a set of miniature dolls for her dollhouse.
Another big part of our V-day was the CRAFTS! Oh how I love me some crafts. And luckily, my kids are turning out to be the same way. They labored over their valentines for Daddy, and Nate painstakingly wrote his name 18 times on valentines for his class. However, I think Nate's favorite part was drawing and cutting out hearts for Daddy's valentine. He did a great job!!! (If you can't tell, his is the pink heart, mine is the red one :)
What a great Valentine's Day; I feel so blessed to have my wonderful family!
Sidenote: I found an Ironman costume on clearance after Halloween, for $3. We gave it to Nate for Christmas, but it came with a "junky" mask that did not fit well. So that's why he got a new mask for V-day. And of course he had to try on the whole outfit. Complete with his glove/shooter which was another Christmas present. What a tough lookin' dude!!
Good job Greg!! Can you come do crafts with tater bc we know I am "special" in that area! I miss getting vday gifts from mom :)
