I had no idea - until 2 days ago - that this weekend was Homecoming and (big surprise!) they really go "all out" for homecoming here. In fact, a group I'm a part of called TuscMoms had a playdate on the quad this morning and it was so much fun! For the first time, we got to sit/eat/partake in tailgating! And of course, the kids did the always popular inflatable slides & bouncy houses. Nate had fun playing football with Daddy & some of the other little boys, and Abby spent her time eating pumpkin cookies & pizza bites. (That's my girl!)
The highlight of the day was the Homecoming Parade! It took over an hour to watch it all, and we couldn't even stay till the end b/c the kids were starting to melt down. (I need water.... I'm tired.... I'm hot...) So unfortunately, we missed the best part of the parade - the massive floats that all the sororities and other organizations build. Bummer! Maybe next year.
