Summer Camps!

Each summer, the kids get to pick one camp they'd like to attend. Nate wanted to "do something with his brain" rather than a sports camp, so he picked an Arcade Electronics camp at a nearby school. Abby chose an art camp at a local paint-your-own-pottery store. Luckily, the camps were the same week (June 5-9th). But.... Abby's was 9-12pm and Nate's was 12:30-3:30 pm! Made for a lot of driving for me, but the kids had a ball.

Art Camp

The camp had a movie theme, so each day they would feature one movie and make 2 pieces of pottery and one craft to go along with it. The movies were Moana, Zootopia, Finding Dory, Beauty & the Beast, and Star Wars.

Luckily, one of Abby's buddies from school, Cate, was able to attend art camp too. These two girls had so much fun together!

Arcade Electronics Camp

Nate and his buddy Mason went to TA for "nerd camp" :) They got asked MANY times on the first day - by the teachers & other students - if they were brothers or cousins, etc. Too funny!

 Every day, Nate would come home and say how much he loved camp and how challenging it was! His class had 3rd-6th graders, and he got to be buddies with one of the 6th grade boys, Phillip. They flew through the project book together and Nate loved hanging out with him.

On the last day of camp, parents were invited to come & see some of the class' favorite games. (Each child got to use an Arcade Electronics snap circuit set all week, and on the last day, it went home with them!) Nate set his circuit up to demonstrate the Home Run Derby game.
